In over 50 installations throughout the world, loader-mobile crusher-belt conveyor systems have proved to be cost-effective. The decision whether to use a mobile crusher unit at the open pit or a conventional fixed crusher installation located elsewhere at the mine site must be made during the planning phase of the mining project.
Integrated continuous mining techniques such as fully mobile in-pit crusher and conveyor (FMIPCC) systems offer inherent labour, energy and environmental benefits to deep pit metalliferous mines. However, before such systems become commonplace, a number of barriers must be overcome. This paper outlines a number of commonly perceived barriers to FMIPCC application, together with a number of
The semi-mobile in-pit crusher will deliver product to this stockpile via a new 3.5- km underground conveyor system. The two new crushers are designed to treat ROM up to 1,200 x 1,200 x 1,200 mm with an ore density of 2.8 mt/m3 and a bulk density of 1.8 mt/m3.

1500-10000t/h Gyratory Semi-moving Crusher Station. Gyratory semi-moving crusher station is key equipment of semi continuous mining process (single bucket excavator — truck — crusher station — belt conveyor system), which is suitable for primary cursing of ore or rocky of large-scale metal mine.
Piparwar Opencast Project of CCL. The in-pit. crushing is done only for coal excavated at the. working face of lowermost coal seam (Lower Dakra), and the crushed coal is transported directly to the. coal washery located near by the mine via a system. of belt conveyors. The components for the system. are 25m.
Introduced in 1993–94 by the then Nordberg for quarrying, the in-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC) concept with a mobile crusher following an excavator along the face and discharging to a linked conveyor system has been scaled up for mining applications since 2000.
Crushed rock is then transported to an in-pit belt conveyor via mobile conveyors. The conveyor carries crushed rock from the mobile crusher to the fixed secondary crushing plant for further processing – no dump trucks required. This cuts operational costs, reduces emissions and helps prevent traffic-related injuries: a conveyor has no exhaust
The flow of material utilizing an in-pit movable crusher and conveyor system starts with the trucked material being dumped into the feeder pocket. The material is crushed and fed onto horizontal transfer belts in the pit or directly onto a major upslope belt taking the material out of the pit. There may be more
In-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC) systems have drawn attention to the modern mining industry due to the numerous benefits than conventional truck-and-shovel systems. However, the implementation of the IPCC system can reduce mining flexibility and introduce additional mining sequence requirements. This paper investigates the long-term production scheduling and the crusher relocation plan of
In this way, energy isn’t wasted on passing small material through the crusher. Crushed rock is then transported to the fixed, in-pit belt conveyor via two mobile Lokolink conveyors. The fixed conveyor carries crushed rock from the Lokotrack® to the fixed plant for further processing.
By placing a crusher in the pit on Bench 28, some 290 metres below the pit perimeter, and conveying the ore to the surface stockpiles, Palabora expected to reduce its fleet of haul trucks Figure 3: Crusher . A mobile crusher operating in a multiple-bench pit can feed a mobile Horizontal Conveyor with full-length receiving hopper. From here, material can be conveyed via Ramp Portables or via up-bench conveyors (each with Super Portable® technology) out of the pit and onto an overland conveying network.
In such a system, the crusher is fully mobile and is located at vary near the face. The crusher is fed directly by an excavator (Rope shovel or hydraulic shovel or front-end-loader). The crusher discharges either directly or via a beltwagon (or conveyor bridge in some cases) onto the shiftable face conveyor.
The conveyor system transports the crushed material to the dumping site or the processing plant. Conveyors can be designed stationary, relocatable or shiftable for bench and dumping operations. In particular open pit applications including high-incline and curved conveyor systems can be offered by thyssenkrupp in conjunction with the in-pit

This invention relates to novel configurations of open pit mines and methods of mining in open pit operations in which the benches are established radially outward from a turning point to facilitate the use of a mobile crusher adjacent the benches in combination with a belt conveyor system that can carry crushed mined mineral materials directly from the mobile crusher and deliver them directly

This paper investigates the long-term production scheduling and the crusher relocation plan of open-pit mines using a semi-mobile IPCC system and high-angle conveyor. A series of candidate high-angle conveyor locations is generated around the pit limit, with a crusher located along each conveyor line.

The purpose of an IPCC system is to allow the ore to be crushed in the pit and transported out using a conveyor system. In-pit crushers can be mobile – which means they can be moved within days
A fixed crusher has a low investment cost and is preferable at the final pit rim – making for a “clean”, conveyor free pit. Semi-mobile reduces reduced truck haulage, is independent from the working bench advance (blasting/loading/hauling), and relocation can occur with pit development.
Pit re-design: Unless you are using EPCC, your pit will need some redesign to accommodate the crusher pocket and conveying route. The conveyor may have a dedicated route, or be placed alongside an existing (but widened) haul route. Where possible the conveyor route should be as straight as possible to minimise transfer points.
